Palo Duro Canyon Adventure Elopement + Intimate Wedding Pricing

It doesn’t matter if you’re booking us for your intimate small wedding or wild adventure weekday elopement out at Palo Duro Canyon, I will tell your story well in a way that feels real and genuine. I thrive on capturing emotions that can be felt through generations. I work in a way that is more lifestyle-based – intent on capturing moments and emotions – as opposed to posed photos that would leave you feeling nothing when it was all said and done.

I am an explorer that has an endless list of locations that I’ve fallen in love with. At these locations, you can have a family accessible intimate wedding with cascading cliffs in Palo Duro Canyon, or we can hike to exchange your vows privately in breathtaking places. When you book me as your photographer, you’re also booking my vast knowledge of beautiful and unique places.

My vision for your small intimate Palo Duro Canyon elopement is full of adventure, private moments between you and your partner, vows read in front of those who matter most in your life, and a nice little champagne pop. My most favorite moments are when we are hiking under the Texas stars and you can hear the coyotes echoing through the valley as the sun beams drastically throughout each drop-off.

*Can you invite guests? YES!

*Can you bring your dog? YES!

*Can we set up a big tent and have a reception with wooden tables + chairs from cliffside? YES YES YES!

What Does it Mean to Have an Elopement in Palo Duro Canyon?

ELOPEMENTS DO NOT MEAN A CHEAP LAST MINUTE, SHAMEFUL WAY TO GET MARRIED

It comes down to stripping your wedding from all the fluff and production performance that is set up for your guests instead of the two who matter the most- you and your partner. An elopement is an intentional, meaningful and authentic way to get married, especially when utilizing Palo Duro Canyon as your venue/backdrop!
It can look like the two of you getting up at 4 am with headgear on while hiking our way up the side of Palo Duro Canyon under the Texas stars to do a sunrise ceremony, or you two inviting your closest friends and family to witness the intimate ways to say your vows with the valley below.

CREATE AN INTENTIONAL INTIMATE WEDDING DAY THAT REFLECTS WHO YOU TRULY ARE

An elopement is an intentional, meaningful and authentic way to get married.

There are a lot of other Photographers, so why us?

Do you want just another photographer, or do you want someone who knows the ins and outs of Palo Duro, someone who is a planner? Would you like someone who feels like an amazing friend to help you establish the most meaningful day of your life?

We will come alongside you to map out the dream wedding your heart desires out here at Palo Duro Canyon. We will fill out a questionnaire that covers the deep questions about who you are as a couple, what’s most important to you and what your vision is as a couple to join yourselves as one.

Listen, your elopement day isn’t just showing up for a quick ceremony and some fancy portraits to post on Instagram. IT’S THE ENTIRE EXPERIENCE.

It’s waking up to eat breakfast (aka: a cliff bar) and filling up your camelback, it’s the butterflies you get when you’re at the hiking destination knowing you’re about to see and feel the most incredible moments you’ll ever experience. It’s putting the ring on your partner’s finger. It’s the deep and meaningful vows you commit to one another. It’s the first champagne toast and first dance under the Texas stars in the canyon. It’s cuddling up with a fleece blanket right next to the fire talking about how you’re so happy you did it your way because right about now, a wedding planner would be whisking you two away for a garter toss that doesn’t have any meaning to you.

I help you bring every detail to life to make your day far more than you ever imagined. That’s how we are different. Because this day is all about YOU, and you deserve to experience the stress-free elopement while I document the whole story.

Why would I want full day coverage of my Palo Duro Canyon elopement wedding?

This is not the typical staged, forced-smile photo session where you try to jam a whole day’s worth.

If you have seen our work through the website, Facebook, or Instagram, you know that we shoot the emotional, raw, and real elements of life.

These moments are not force-posed. Our brains just can not work that way.

You deserve more than that. You deserve to look back on your wedding day, to be able to re-live those little moments that reflect who you are. You deserve a photographer who has won awards for doing just that.

You deserve the sunrise. You deserve the sunset. You deserve to be free and authentic to who you are to your core.

You deserve to have your elopement in Palo Duro Canyon, the stress-free way, with me there to guide you fluently and seamlessly throughout the entire process.

A little FAQ's about Palo Duro Canyon while planning your elopement

  • Any larger weddings must be planned through the park superintendent. There may be a fee charged for use of certain areas of the park. I will help with the contact of the superintendent.
  • Small elopements and weddings do not have to be planned through the superintendent and there is not a fee except the entrance fee.
  • Pets are allowed in the park but must be on a leash and attended at all times.
  • There is no public consumption and/or display of alcohol (can, bottle, cup or any other container) permitted in campsites or day-use areas. Violation of this law results in a Class C Misdemeanor.
  • I’d suggest welches sparkling juice for toastings.
  • We leave no trace. What this means is we avoid leaving trash behind, stepping on plants & cactus, or harming the canyon in any way.
  • Your wedding or elopement can not block trails or access to any facilities.
