“We meet at the Petro in Amarillo, Texas. I was shining boots and he was a truck driver. I worked there for about a year, left for about 3 years and came back. When Bob was In town he would get his boots shined and we would talk and just hang out while I worked. There wasn’t a lot to do at the truck stop. After about a year of just talking as friends, one day there it was. We fell in love. I left everything and got in the truck with him and almost 8 years later here we are.”

How I felt as a bride with my elopement out at Palo Duro Canyon

The whole freaking day of getting married out at Palo Duro Canyon was absolutely unforgettably awesome. If I had to chose my most favorite moment though I think it would be the first look with Rob. It was better than I could have imagined.

The coyotes were howling in the valley as I approached the cliff he was standing on for our first look. I’m obsessed with the places Brit showed us for our certain spots in the canyon for our first looks and ceremony!

If I were to give advice to a bride looking to elope in Palo Duro Canyon it would be to just go with it, don’t sweat anything. Don’t let anyone or anything get to you. If something happens, oh well your still marrying your person.
