Palo Duro Canyon Doves Rest Cabins Small Intimate Wedding
Ariel + Colins family all traveled to get to Palo Duro Canyon for the small intimate wedding off the cliffside in early November. It was freezing outside, but you wouldn’t be able to tell at all for our 6 hour elopement photography coverage š
Here is the bride and grooms love story- “We met our senior year at Texas A&M through a mutual friend, who Colin had trained while working at a personal training facility. As soon as Kassie introduced me to Colin, I knew I would marry him (jokingly because he was gorgeous and quiet which I found mysterious and dangerously attractive). We hung out mostly in group settings for study groups, pumpkin carvings, football watch parties and nights out at North Gate. We started dating on January 1st 2017, and have been inseparable ever since. Something a lot of people may not know is that if I hadnāt failed math our senior year, we may not be together. I had planned to go to Ft. Lauderdale to work as a stewardess on a yacht right after we graduated, I even had several internships training specifically for that opportunity. When I didnāt graduate, I ended up staying in College Station which I can confidently say was the best decision Iāve ever made. (Side note: I ended up graduating a few months later, and Iām still not great at math).”
Their most favorite memory from their elopement – “Our ceremony. It was absolutely freezing, but having my now brother in law marry us, in an unbelievable setting, with all of our loved ones couldnāt have been more perfect. Also, the aoudads photobombing us, hiking in my wedding dress and getting incredible photos in the canyon is up there as well.”
“Do whatever YOU want to do. Skip all the fads and āmust havesā you see online, and do something memorable that youāll cherish forever. At the end of the day, itās about you and your husband and not anyone else. I canāt wait for our 10 year anniversary so we can book a few days at Skyhouse, bring our dress and suit and climb back into that hot tub and celebrate our love with champagne like we did in our first few hours as Mr. and Mrs. Fry.”
Ariel had the sweetest words ever to say about her Texas Elopement experience with us- “The first time I spoke to Brit with Texas Adventure Elopements over the phone, I knew I couldnāt trust anyone else. She is so warm and real, and thatās exactly the type of person I was hoping to find to join us on our non-traditional wedding adventure. Aside from her ridiculous talent as a photographer, Brit is incredibly genuine and you her excitement for her craft his inspiring! I truly feel like I gained a friend in Brit, and I would recommend her to anyone and everyone.”
One of my most favorite things as their photographer about the day was them getting in the hot tub to celebrate!
