Unlike traditional weddings, an elopement in Palo Duro Canyon can be a private ceremony, shared with only your partner and perhaps a few close loved ones. The canyon’s vastness swallows up the noise of the outside world, letting your promises to each other resonate against the walls of the canyon. You will get to pick from my locations that are not only for the state park, but personal private property as well as cabin cliff sides. All these locations can hold a small wedding and easily accessible, even for our loved ones who can not get around easy or are in a wheelchair.
Planning Your Elopement In Palo Duro Canyon
Permits and Legalities
Before you embark on your elopement adventure, ensure you have all the necessary permits and understand the legal requirements for getting married in Texas. Palo Duro Canyon State Park may require a special event permit for your ceremony, especially if you plan to have a small gathering. If you are using the pavilions you do not have to have permits inside the state park. If you are gathering in the state park, have chairs, or arches you do have to have the parks permission plus a permit PLUS a million dollars worth of insurance coverage before you’re allowed to have your wedding. If you get married with me at my personal private property, you do not have to have permits and are allowed to drink on premises. I have all of the contact information ready to go and all you have to do is reach out and then pay the insurance I send you.
Best Time to Elope
The canyon experiences a full range of seasons, with spring and fall offering the most temperate weather. Summer brings heat that can be intense, while fall + winter may present the occasional snowfall, adding a unique touch to the canyon’s beauty. Consider the time of year that suits your style and comfort.
Local Vendors
Supporting local businesses such as florists, photographers, and caterers can ease the planning process. Amarillo and the surrounding towns have a selection of vendors familiar with the canyon, ensuring your day runs smoothly. What to Know Before Our Consultation
Packages. Make sure you, your fiancee and whomever is making the financial decision has already seen the packages and is ready to rock and roll and both of you must be on the consultation call. If either of these has not happened or both won’t be available the consultation will be rescheduled. To book the date I require 50% of the package picked and then the remaining must be paid 2 months before the wedding date. A list of my vendors, tips, tricks and client eyes only locations will be available after booking in my guide.
I have a wide variety list of locations for people who have disabilities or family members that can not get around well. If we use my personal private location, there won’t be much hiking as we take you in our ranger starting at the top to the bottom of the valley. You can not get to this location through anyone else but me.

My Personal Private Property
This is where you can rent my big ass bridal boho tent to get ready in or just to have as decoration. We set up the wooden table and chairs and let your guests party on all night. There are not any restrictions on my property and I can provide you the best unique experience here. My place does not have a lot of hiking as we will jump in my ranger and take you and your guest places. To use my private location it starts off at $400 for sunrise ceremony and adventuring for 4 hours and then $1,000 starting for a ceremony with guests on the rim with a party.
